The App – How to Use It (and Why It Works)

It’s not rocket science.

First, let’s understand that the Lightning Fitness mobile app is designed to help you achieve a high level of personal fitness. That is, improved cardio capacity, improved balance, an increase in your metabolic rate and increased strength.

All of which, of course, leads to a better body shape, better sleep, more confidence and a better general feeling of well-being.

It’s no secret that high intensity circuit training is among the most effective methods of exercise for cardio health. By including exercises that target all areas of the body, Lighting Fitness takes it to a higher level.

Nuts and Bolts

Here’s how the app works.  You (the user, who will soon be on your way to extreme physical fitness) will choose a Workout Pack.  You will then choose a Duration.  Once the app starts, you will be presented with a 15-second slow-motion instructional video (note, the pace of the video is slower than real time on purpose).  At the end of the 15-second video, the 30-second timer begins.  You perform as many repetitions (using good form) as you can in 30-seconds.  The next video runs through the 15-second rest period, then the activity period begins again.

Too simple?

Sorry, but the bottom line is that most exercise programs focus on specific body areas for improvement. But you don’t use just your arms every day. Or just your back. Or just your chest. You use them all, every day. Why shouldn’t your fitness program carry the same focus?

There are, in fact, commercial exercise programs that focus on overall fitness better than others. The problem is that the routines are finite and, in order to keep improving, you must eventually return to the same routine progression, over and over. Or spend another $89.95 (plus shipping & handling), to get a new one. And how many of us, while using those programs, get to a routine and say “I hate that one, I’ll skip it” thereby losing the associated benefit? I am guilty of this.
With Lightning Fitness, you don’t know what’s coming. And that’s the beauty of it.

So why will it work for you?

Because it will work for anybody. The tenets of physiology do not change from person to person. Only the degree to which they are implemented.

Every workout targets your whole body. Every workout incorporates moves that focus on cardio, core strength, muscle tone, and increasing your metabolic rate.

Second, it provides VARIETY. Every workout is different, every time you launch the app. You can accomplish the same thing by hiring a personal trainer who will design different routines for you every day (it will just be at much greater expense, and much less convenience).
